I found a photograph on the web somewhere of these (apparently) homeless people and their dogs. I had a weird compulsion to mess with it and this is what I eventually came up with. The effects used were adding noise, and the aged newspaper effect, in Paint Shop Pro. The text is a lyric from Gollum's Song in the Lord of the Rings movies. I find this picture to be horribly sad. It didn't hit me until I added the text. Just wondering whatever happened to the subjects. Perhaps they lucked out and made out okay and are happy now, but my imagination has them dead in an alley somewhere, people casually walking by, barely even regarding their bodies as their dogs wander about in hopes of finding shelter, only to eventually be captured and put down by the local animal authorities. It almost makes me cry...

I kind of wish I coud've added rain or perhaps even snow to the picture to add to the effect.
